A modern learning platform for PPL theory

PPL theory is doable, but the path to it is needlessly rocky. Most schools hand you a stack of books, access to a 2010s-era question trainer, and say: good luck. If you have a job, a family, or simply want to learn efficiently, that's frustrating.

We believe modern learning methods — spaced repetition, adaptive review, AI-assisted explanations — should have been standard in pilot training long ago. They aren't. Aero.Academy closes that gap: EASA-aligned content for the theory subjects, prepared the way an adult learner actually learns today.

Our goal isn't to replace your flight school. You still need it — for practice, FI briefings, and the official exam registration. We're what you open alongside it when you want to make real progress on the sofa in the evening.

AI that explains — not hallucinates. Whether you have a question about decoding a NOTAM, autorotation, or pressure distribution over an aerofoil, you get an explanation at your level. The content is anchored in EASA learning objectives, not freely invented.

Spaced repetition for theory. You review exactly what you're about to forget. No mindless clicking through 3,000 questions, 2,500 of which you mastered long ago.

Transparent about the source. We show you which learning objectives a question maps to. So you know whether you're getting lost in an edge topic or practising something exam-relevant.

Honest limits. We're not an approved ATO. We don't replace flight hours, an FI, or an exam-prep stamp. What we deliver: a learning tool that gets you through the theory faster and more confidently.

Aero.Academy is a small project from Switzerland, not a corporation. We started in the PPL(H) space — that's where the market for good study material was thinnest. Today we cover EASA theory for PPL students of both licence classes and work with active flight instructors and pilots on specialist questions, who proofread our content.

We're small, and that's deliberate. Better a few subjects done well than a huge mountain of content where nobody knows anymore whether the aerodynamics explanation still holds. What that means for you: short paths. When you write to us, someone who builds the product themselves answers — not a support-ticket system.

We don't sell data, run no ads, and have no investors telling us to keep you on the platform artificially longer. You pay a fair subscription, we deliver a tool that works.
